Challenge One - Feed a family of 6 for under $100 a month.

A friend of ours feeds her family of 5 for under $100 a month.  She is an awesome woman and her family has a modest income.  She challenged me to see what I could do here in Texas.  Her and her family live in Maine out in the country, they have various small farm animals such as chickens.  We live in Texas and do not live in the city, we live in a small town out a bit but we do not have any small farm animals.  I am going to give this a shot without any of the farm animals being more realistic to our situation.  Hopefully we can see how low I can get our food bill.  Any comments please feel free to share!!
